TRAMMELL Jamie

Associate Professor of Environmental Science, Southern Oregon University, USA

Team position : country lead, Synthesis Strand

Background : I am a landscape ecologist specializing in the integration of socioeconomic and biophysical drivers of hydrologic and landscape change. My core focus has been on alternative landscape futures, using scenario analysis to explore integrated landscape change under different assumptions of uncertainty. I have worked in Australia, Alaska, and throughout the western U.S.

Key disciplines and skillsets : Landscape ecology, GIS, Remote Sensing

Expectations : A deeper understanding of protected area context, the expectation of U.S. protected areas, and how well we have met those expectations. Comparing this to other parts of the world will only enhance our ability to design better protected areas in the future. I’m also excited about all the data-synthesis synergies that will be developed through this project.
