Team position : country lead, Synthesis Strand
Background : My background is spatial analysis in archaeology. I am currently coordinating the Open Team Science Project (https://openteamscience.jp/en/) at the RIHN to develop a methodology to overcome knowledge gaps between research experts in different fields and societal actors in socio-environmental issues.
Key disciplines and skillsets : GIS, socio-environmental synthesis, transdisciplinarity.
Expectations : The Japan Team will contribute to the PARSEC project through bridging the Synthesis and Data strands in terms of trans-disciplinary collaboration. The project’s trajectory to develop a trans-boundary collaboration itself is of particular interest. The team will also contribute to the Synthesis strand by providing a selected number of sites in Japan.
